::dead::
Do you know how many things I am incapable of without an internet connection? The list is quite sad... let's start with:
+ talk to ANYONE outside the chicagoland area
+ plan with my suitemates about TAF
+ check the weather (specifically in my town, and hour by hour)
+ check movie listings (without having to listen to 20 minutes worth of mr. moviefone)
+ look up song lyrics
+ download songs (though kazaa is illegal now, right?)
+ find a new download client... =D
+ pointlessly create websites/profiles
+ annoy the shit out of billions of people on my buddy list (though I can still annoy others...)
+ demonstrate my trait of becoming very amused very easily (oh wait, but that exudes from me all the time... duh.)
+ completely ignore the phone when needing to communicate with people
+ have long, "deep", "touching" conversations with all my friends... ::snicker::
+ waste hours on end in front of the computer...
Oh wait! I have Diablo II... nevermind. Cross off the last one. But everything else is truuuue!! Oh yeah, I definitely started Diablo again. While staring at my computer and contemplating what a useless piece of crap it is when I don't have the internet, I realized that I always have beating-the-shit-out-of-evil-undead-demons as an option =) Yeah, but seriously, people who diss on people who are online a lot have issues!! (That sentence made very little grammatical sense.) Really, if you can't go out or anything for a couple hours, what else are you gonna do? Watch TV? Which is more productive, watching TV or being online? Now I'm just babbling ... anyway...
I don't have a connection now, I'm just borrowing an old account from my uncle's AOL. If you don't understand that, then don't try, because AOL sucks and makes no sense. Anyway hopefully we'll have some DSL by the time I get home from TAF... yes.. that would be a good thing. Oh, and you know what else?? Our airconditioning is BROKEN!!! I think I might just melt... or something. It's so hot =( even at night. It's very annoying, and now I don't really want to be in my room anymore. But I have a bunch of stuff I have to do online first so... rawrr... And packing, TAF in two days =) Oh, and a random thought
remember this?.... =D
Put tha caddy up, start the three wheel benz //
// hyper white lights, ultraviolet lenz
suma tuma tires and they gotta be run flat //
// TV where the horn go, boy can you top that??
I'mma show you some shit when you press that button //
// the truck went eh-eh, and alluva sudden,
fo' fifteens din't see no wires, n then I heard BOOM from the amplifiyerz... //

OMGGGG ITS WORKINNNNNNNNNNNNNG
YAAAAAAAAAAAY =) Oh man I was gonna die without a blog. Seriously. Yeah. Um, so now I have nothing to say. LOL jp =) Well I figured out that Anne has two computers and I can actually log onto blogger on one of them. Yeah, I know it took me forever to realize that. But hey, I'm back, so the world is good again.
and now i'm leaving again...
Well I'm actually not sure what's going to happen. I'm going home tomorrow so that's good, but I don't have an internet connection at home anymore, since we cancelled the AOL... ARRGH! I never thought I'd be so upset to not have AOL =P. Anyway if I don't manage to get a connection by August 3rd, I won't be online till at least August 10th because I'm GOING TO TAF!!!!!!!!! Whee =) Youthin this time, baby... no more dreamy jh'ers for me. LOL jpjp... I'll be nice to all yaz JH ppl (heh heh Jeremy n Lil... I'll be your big sib!). TAF in 6 days... wow!! I've been looking forward to it for so longgggggggggg!! Oh but someone remind me to tell Dan I changed my email address, or else it's going to go in the yearbook wrong. Heaven forbid! haha. Okay, everyone please hope that the yearbooks will be better this year... last year they were all messed up! =( Anyway... if anyone's taking the Chicago bus to taf, tell meeee because I want to know =) Not you, Annie. We already know, and frankly, we don't care. LOL jpjp =) Oh, and who's gonna bring Ramen?? =D
life at anne's house
... is so depressing!! Every two seconds she manages to fit in the words "and you're stupid, and nobody likes you," into whatever we're doing. And I'm officially banned from singing. I say, "What, is my voice that bad??" and she goes, "Yepp!" Agh, lol. She's so mean to me =( and abusive. She gave me all the scratches you see on my right calf. HAHAHHAHA No just kidding those are battle wounds from my fight with the corner of the bed. But if you see pinch marks on my arms that's from Anne. And if I have a black eye... uh...
i dont get in fights =)

back from pieland...
Also known as Taipei... I don't know why Pieland sticks so well. Just because Peter decided that the city's name is actually Tai-pie, and wanted me to buy pie for him. Oh, I would, Peter, but then you'd have to give me at least half... mMm... pie =) Anyway... it was actually pretty cool, for the most part. First of all, we took the bus there-- freaking 6 hour ride. The only reason it was bearable was... that bus was LUXURY, man.. Seriously. The chairs were like recliners, and they had a built in massager thing. Everyone gets their own lil TV thing. There's 4 channels of movies, one channel of cartoon movies, and some Taiwanese TV program. There was also Nintendo... the controller was in the armrest. What the?? LOL I loved it =D I finally saw xXx (yes, I didn't see that when it came out, and yes, I will now believe you when you say that Vin Diesel is fine), and Lilo and Stitch (for the billionth time), and the Sweetest Thing (disgusting but hilarious). It was the cooooolest bus ever. You needed headphones to listen to the movies and stuff, but if you didn't have them, your headrest thing has speakers on either side. I'm like... dAym!!
The shopping was very very very cool =) Taipei has a bunch of nice stores... everything's hella expensive, but they're nice =D Um, it also has a bunch of weird stores... like all the fake Gucci and Coach... Oh, my bad. I mean Cucci and Goach/Oach. And the condom store. Oh yes, that was great. It was all colorful and happy and stuff... and then you walk in and there's a green condom w/ a face on it. What the fuck? Okay... And then they had all these methods to put them places for decoration.. on your cell phone, with one of those blinky light thingies (my sister saw one of those blinky lights with a Stitch on it and says, "Ooooh I want one!!" Suure..) And in your car, hanging from one of those suction cup thingies... Yeah, it was quite interesting. Um, and disturbing. A lady walked by with her friend, and she glanced at the condom w/ the car attachment thing... "Oh, that's just a lollipop store." Heh...
The one part that pissed me off the most was the people who we stayed with. I call them Aunt and Uncle but really, it's my grandma's sister's husband's nephew. And his wife. Anyway, they are utterly obsessed with their kid. He's one of those kids that has rich parents and is sent abroad to study-- in his case, LA. I met him when we were little and he was such a spoiled lil bastard... I really doubt he's changed, especially since he is still being spoiled by parents who believe he's an absolute angel. Anyway his mom loves me and she will NOT give up the idea that she can set us up!! HOLY SHIT... gimme a fucking break! You asked last year, I said no. I mean, hold on, I might have suddenly changed my mind... uh, NOPE. Still no. The next day she's like... "Oh yeah, I called him last night and you know what he said?" Er, nope, and frankly, I don't care. "He said that he's too busy studying for a girlfriend, hahahahahaha!!" And I couldn't help laughing with her, 'cause it was just too funny. And then she says "But he says he'll try to visit you in Chicago if he has time." I stopped laughing. Whatever... if he comes, I'll just sic him on one of my hot pocket friends =).
IM GOING HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMME!!

guess you want an update?
I'll be getting home sometime between the 23rd and 24th... Which means, I get what, like a week home before heading to TAF this year? I always end up so gypped on my time home during the summer. Good thing: my mom claims I won't have to come here next year. Shweeeet! I guess I'll be taking driver's ed over vacation... YAY... Bettina's all grown up! =P (How many of you just remembered that I'm a year younger than you? LOL) This week may be okay... my sister and mom went to get their hair done at the salon, and I'm just gonna bum at home, chillin and trying to look good for the pictures tomorrow...
pictures!!
For some reason we are getting our family photos taken... I guess it's because our last professional was at least 6 years ago, and my sister has always been pissed about that one picture where she's standing "too far away" from the rest of us. Hm... what the heck? Oh well =P They airbrush those photos like hell, and I can look okay if I actually take time to care about my appearance, so I'm not gonna obsess over it. My sister, on the other hand, has been worrying over this for days; this is due to the fact that she's also getting "glamour shots". Right. I would only do that if you paid me-- someone take my goddamn braces off!! I'm tired of hearing my relatives say, "Oh, you're still fixing your teeth?... You got them done in America, right?" since my Taiwanese cousin had braces last year but got them off already... As if it's my American orthodontist's fault that my teeth are taking so long to be fixed. What's up with the need to put the blame on someone?
my newfound annoyances
How are Taiwanese people so goddamn difficult?? Yes, these are my "people", but in the country itself I just want to pound them all into the ground, forel... You can read my sister's blog for great examples of the lack of courtesy/respect that the Taiwanese always seem to display. No, I'm not ragging particularly on the Taiwanese, but these are my experiences over here so it would only pertain to the Taiwanese. One thing Anita fails to mention though, is the seemingly fanatic obsession the people here have with appearance. Either yours or their own, it's always very very noticed. And very noticeably noticed, because if they look at you, they stare for at least 20 seconds, and sometimes point. It always bothers me when my cousin (the one with the non-braces teeth..) makes some comment about another person, and then proceeds to point -- and continue to point -- at that person. Is it just me? because I find that incredibly rude.. Not only are you judging someone by their appearance, but you are making it very obvious!! This staring thing gets to me even more because I'm often the one being stared at... I just wanna be like STOP LOOKING AT ME GODDAMMIT!! Grrr... sure, a little attention is good, but forel they just stare, sometimes blankly and always very conspicuously. Wow... it annoys me so much =P
Hm, I guess that's it... I'm still mad about needing to stay here another week but I can deal, because [duh] I always do. I miss you guys but at least you know I'll finally be home... in a week =P
reading: a prayer for owen meany by john irving - A really really really good book, even though it's really long and might be a little "explicit" and sounds philosophical at times... I don't guarantee you'll like it, but I did =P

life is bullshit
Another week in Taiwan... and I have to pretend I'm happy with it. What the fuck. Let me go home god dammit... my sister and mom badgered me for like 3 straight days. Holy fuck, wouldn't it have been less stress for ALL OF US if they'd just let me go home?? I'm sure one less fucking week of worrying could equal or even be less than three straight days, 72 hours of NONSTOP BICKERING... I just wanted to pummel them both into the ground. How is it that I am the only one in this family that can hold my temper?? And then I'm the one that's forced to bear everything with grace. I'm the only one that doesn't randomly burst into fits of loathing and upsetness... it's because I'm ALWAYS the one that has to do this, because I'm ALWAYS the one that has to take the blunt of everything and anything. It makes me so IRRITABLE... but no, never to my family, because I have to hold it in or I make it worse. What the fuck... it just gets to the point where I DONT GIVE A DAMN, I don't care what anyone thinks of what I say even if it's not something I'd say when I'm levelheaded. At these times, it's best not to talk to me because I'll blurt out some random thing that pisses me off and I'll keep talking about it because there's just a need to be contrary, a need to DO SOMETHING to get out all my fucking anger... and it's not even your fault. So whatever, forgive me or don't, because I'm still in one of those moods and I'm not exactly interested in the politeness of what I say. No, it's only in my family that something like this could happen to such a assertive little brat like me. They've pounded me into a fuckin shapeless blob, and I can't even speak up because everything will just suck that much more. I'm so goddamn tired of doing this, but what's the point of fighting something that will never change? What's the point of adding more arguments into the dirt? There is no point. So I sit here and suffer. 10 more days.
